My name is Karima Rasooli, and I am an English instructor.
I started teaching when I was in the tenth grade, and I have continued teaching until now.
I have taught English for more than six years and have worked with different academies and educational centers, such as Afghan Educational Academy, Aga Khan Education Service, Helping Hand Center, and Omid Learning Center.
I have experience teaching both in-person and online classes, and I am currently working with Afghan Educational Academy.
I teach different levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.
I completed my elementary education in Baghlan and graduated from high school in Mazar-e-Sharif, where I currently live.
I am passionate, hardworking, responsible, and eager to share my knowledge with students so that they can achieve their goals and improve their English skills.
I have good leadership skills and can work effectively with different teams.
I am a third-semester student of English Literature and hold first position in my class.
I have received many certificates from different institutions, including an Excellence Certificate from my university, a TESOL Certificate from Arizona State University, and several other certificates.
As a teacher, it is very important to me that my students learn something valuable from me.
My students should be more active than I am in the classroom.
Personally, I use student-centered and communicative teaching methods.
These methods help students become more active and communicate effectively with one another. also use pair work, discussions, and debates.
These activities are very useful because they help students express their ideas and speak without fear or hesitation.
In addition, these methods reduce TTT (Teacher Talk Time) and increase STT (Student Talk Time).
I believe that a teacher should speak about 20 percent of the time, while students should participate about 80 percent of the time.
This level of participation helps students improve quickly and build confidence.
When students work together, they can learn new words, different ways of speaking, and how to share their ideas with classmates.
Moreover, these activities help students develop teamwork and leadership skills. We have different kinds of students with different levels and talents.
Therefore, it is important to identify their strengths and weaknesses and pair weaker students with stronger ones.
This helps them learn more effectively and make progress.
Teachers should use different teaching methods according to their students' needs because this helps them achieve better results. For example, if students learn better in groups, teachers can use pair work, videos, and discussion-based activities.
